Delete your FloatAI account

This page is for FloatAI, the Android voice-to-text app from Butterfly AI LLC. Use it to ask us to delete your account and the data associated with it.

How to request deletion

  1. Send an email to [email protected] from the email address on your FloatAI account. Google sign-in uses the email on that Google account.
  2. Use the subject line Delete my FloatAI account.
  3. In the message, say that you want your FloatAI account deleted, and include the email address you signed in with.
  4. We email you when the deletion is finished. This is completed within 30 days of a verified request.
Email a deletion request

Data that is deleted

  • Account record: name, email address, user id, and Google account identifier
  • Profile photo URL stored with the account
  • Voice recordings uploaded for Speed or Accurate transcription, if any are still stored
  • Usage events tied to that account
  • Issue reports tied to that account

Data that is kept

  • On your phone: notes, transcription history, and the downloaded speech model stay in the app until you delete them or uninstall FloatAI. We cannot erase data that never left your device.
  • Google Play: purchase and subscription records stay with Google under Google Play’s policies. Deleting your FloatAI account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
  • Aggregated analytics: statistics that no longer identify you.
  • This request: a record that you asked for deletion, kept so we can show the request was completed.

Retention. Account data listed above is deleted within 30 days. Security logs and records we must keep for legal or fraud-prevention reasons may be kept for up to 90 days, then deleted.

Delete some data without closing the account

You can remove notes and transcription history inside FloatAI, or uninstall the app to remove everything stored only on the phone. To ask us to delete server data and keep the account, email [email protected] and describe what you want removed.
